For Florio, sailing boats are the protagonists of his canvasses, proud, elegant, moving, they are against the blue colour of the sky reflected in the intensity of water. The freshness of the sails in their whiteness and sun brightness are the real protagonists of the works. In games of reflections of water and sky, they move like colours vigorously diluted by thick palette knife strokes. Florio was born in Bovisio Masciago (MB) in 1958. He got his diploma from the art school of Cantù. He participated in many national and international art exhibitions, receiving prizes and awards.
